Questions hospitals actually ask.

Straight answers about internet, money, equipment and data — the things administrators check before switching systems.

Does Modern Clinic work without internet?
Yes — that is the whole point. The system runs on your hospital's own computers over your WiFi router. You can register patients, run consultations, order labs and bill for the entire day with zero internet. The internet is only needed briefly for backups, subscription payments and remote support.
How do 5 computers stay in sync?
One Main PC acts as the hospital server and the rest connect to it over your local network. A change made on computer A — say a new patient at reception — appears on computer D instantly, without anyone pressing refresh. When the internet returns, everything backs up to the cloud automatically.
What happens if our subscription expires?
You never lose your patient data — it belongs to the hospital, always. If a subscription lapses, the system switches to read-only: you can still view, search, print and export every record, but starting new encounters is locked until you renew. A 14-day grace period covers late Mobile Money payments.
How do we pay?
Inside the app, with MTN or Airtel Mobile Money — the same way individuals top up. Enter your number, approve the prompt on your phone, and the hospital unlocks immediately. No bank visit, no website checkout.
What equipment do we need?
A WiFi router (no internet subscription required), one Main PC with decent storage, and your other computers with Google Chrome. A small UPS for the Main PC and router keeps you running through power cuts.
Is our patient data safe and private?
Each hospital's data is fully isolated from every other hospital, with role-based access so receptionists, doctors, lab staff and accountants only see their screens. Every action is written to an audit log, and cloud backups are encrypted in transit.
Do you help us set up and train staff?
Yes. Setup takes about 10 minutes following our guide, and annual-plan hospitals get an onboarding visit plus a staff training session. Support is available by phone and email.
Can we migrate our paper or Excel records?
Yes. Patient lists from Excel can be imported during onboarding, and our team helps annual-plan hospitals with the first import so day one starts with your real register.
Does it work for multi-branch hospitals?
Each branch runs its own hospital server offline, and all branches back up to the same cloud account — so management sees every branch while each site keeps working through outages.
Can we use our existing computers?
Almost certainly yes. Any computer from the last decade running Google Chrome works — the system runs in the browser, so there is nothing heavy to install on staff machines. Only the Main PC benefits from decent storage.
Which devices can staff use?
Anything with a modern browser: Windows desktops, laptops, and Android tablets for ward rounds. The layout adapts from reception desktops to small ward screens.
